Nelson Mandela’s 100th Birthday

During the summer of 2018 there will be centenary celebrations of Nelson Mandela’s birth throughout the world (https://www.nelsonmandela.org).

The LTL International Leadership Institute (www.internationalleadership.org) is already organizing events that will take place in the Twin Cities and in other Minnesota locations. I will post information here as it becomes available.

On February 10, 2018, Judge LaJune Lange hosted a brunch in her home to discuss these plans and introduce the new Consul General Mazibuko, who is based in the South African Consulate General, Chicago, Illinois (http://www.southafricachicago.com).

It was a wonderful and inspirational occasion. I took this photo while I was there.

Pictured from left to right are LaJune Lange, Honorary Minnesota South Africa Consul; Brendan Adams and Gaylene Adams, performers of South African music; Consul General Mazibuko, South Africa Chicago Consulate: Commissioner Shawntera Hardy, DEED: and Tisidra Jones, Attorney and ILI Host.
